| OK, So, I had been stressing big time about buying a new truck. I've wanted one for so long, I could taste it. Princess (my 98 Plymouth Neon) is beginning to show her age and since (first bit of good news) I PAID HER OFF LAST WEEK, I am very much looking forward to getting something new. I was really stressing over getting a new loan as I went through a great deal of trouble getting financed last time. Needless to say, the last 5 years have been rather trying in terms of my financial security. I spent the entire last year and a half of so cleaning everything up and the last car payment was the last bit of debt that I owed. Its unbelievingly (sp?) emancipating to not owe "the man" any money. But look at me, I'm already shopping for something new. I really want to be able to go camping and have something that will hold up long term. I am currently looking at the Toyota Tacoma 4dr 4x4 TRD. Silver of course! So, I think once I get back from vacation I'll put my order in online to begin the search to find one. Good thing about living in LA, we have over 50 Toyota dealers in San Berdo, LA, OC and San Fernando Valleys. Shouldn't be too hard to get exactly what I want. Oh yeah, in other news, Robin got a new car. A very nice '02 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe. Its that smokey dark Charcoal color. Quite nice. Though, up to this point, I have only seen it in the dark. I did get a chance to drive it and its considerably more solid than his Neon (or my neon for that matter.) He worked hard for it and I'm very ahppy for him. Though, we never did get a picture of all four neons! OH well.. Oliver has gone to a good home. Robin got a call about what the story was with the car from a guy at the dealer who actually purchased the car from teh dealer... Les and Rob got their house, which is most excellent (to quote "Bill and Ted")! They are buying in Murietta, on the Murietta/Temecula border. I think they are looking at a November move in date as they have yet to pour the foundation for the house just yet. I think we are going for a pic-nic on the foundation once its poured. Should be lots of fun. Congrats you guys. HUM...in other news....I go on vacation in two weeks and I am very much looking forward to sitting on the beach and doing NOTHING!! Will be nice to just have some time to be with the family and not have to worry about work for once. This will be my first official vacation in over 4 years. Well, I best get back to cleaning up the house. - MW | |
